So the British had to hold Vimont!
The Commander of the British was issued with the following orders:
Force
Intelligence
"...Lieutenant Archibald Blythe sat with his men drinking barely warm tea as the sun rose on the morning of 17 July 1944. His back pressed against the a local tree somewhere south east of Caen. The fighting had been relentless, but for a blessed moment he could sit and rest. His back ached in agreement. His limbs were numb with tiredness. One of the divisions Cromwell tanks rumbled by - no peace thought Blythe. 'Sir!' came a shout from across the road. Blythe sipped his tea and didn't look up - no peace! 'Sir! Sir!' Johnson called waving the printed piece of paper at Blythe 'Orders Sir!'. 'You salute a officer Johnson! We're not savages!' said Blythe, resuming his precious moment with his tea. 'Sir, orders!' saluted Johnson. Blythe slowly put down his tin mug. 'Indeed' grumbled Blythe 'No peace'...."

Orders
The Commander of the British was issued with the following orders:
Force
The British force will be 750 points and in theory should be from the 1944 - Normandy army selector. As we are just trying to see/understand how are armies work then it must be a single platoon chosen from any army selector (although same selector must be used throughout)
Intelligence
Author note: we essentially know what each other brings to the table, by thought it would be a good idea to throw some intelligence in to help each side plan (plus some unreliable intelligence) - are my troops vets or inexperienced, am I using my AT guns or will I have any artillery observer or have I gone out an brought a Tiger I!
Information is sketchy. The German forces have reorganized and decimated units have been pulled together to create new formations and there strength is not known at this stage. Weather conditions have limited aerial photos, but resistance leaders have provided some photos of recent movement in the area - proceed with care and plan accordingly as these photos are out of date and the whereabouts of these units are no longer known. Intelligence photos show mixed armoured formations of the 21st Panzer division and anti-tank capacity. Quality of the Axis troops are unknown.
