Gaming: Scenario - Skirmish at Vimont 18 July 1944 - Force selection

Given the orders and the scenario its time to select my force.

I have two main limitations:

1. 750 points isn't a lot;
2. The miniatures at my disposal are limited.

Information on the British is limited. My brother has a good mixed force of British centered around an infantry boxed set. He has a 6 pounder, Cromwell, Dimiler armoured car and universal carrier. He also has MMG, Homeguard, sniper and mortar. So he can create a force to cover most tactical options and probably has about 1200-1300 points to select from. His restriction is that he'll need a force to start on the objective and the rest will be in 2 waves, while I can start (if I chose) with my whole force on the board.

As noted in previous posts the 1941 DAK light Division list allows me to pick two tanks. That seems excessive in 750 points, but should provide a lot of punch and protection. They can secure the objective early - once there they'll be hard to shift so hopefully minimum of a draw. Then the infantry up in support. One of my main issues is units that can secure the object (must be infantry or artillery) and at present I effectively only have 3/4. If these get wiped out the game is gone.

So my initial draft list for this battle is (I may split the 10 men squads to 4 x 5 men to solve the limited units issue plus it would add two more order dice):

The plus side of only using whats available does have some symmetry with the German make shift defense at times in Normandy where decimated units were merged together. I also have 9 order dice which for 750 points isn't too bad so hopefully even having two tanks won't mean I'm forced to be reactionary to my opponent as a result of less die!
